Qualifications & Training
Carina completed a Bachelor of Psychology degree and then an honours-equivalent Graduate Diploma in Psychology, before completing her Masters in Clinical Psychology. After her studies, Carina completed a two-year Clinical Registrar program to become an endorsed clinical psychologist registered through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Experience & Therapeutic Approach
Carina has experience with a wide range of clients with diverse presenting problems, across a variety of settings, including private and public mental health sectors. Carina strongly believes that there should not be barriers to help-seeking so endeavors to work with clients respectfully and holistically, mindful of their individual circumstances.

Carina uses a warm, client-centered approach and primarily wants her clients to feel understood and gain insight into how they can best improve their condition. She believes that therapy is useful for everybody’s personal growth and would like to de-stigmatize help-seeking where possible. She uses frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Motivational Interviewing.
